Mossy Lane Manor12/21/2023 Mossy Lane Manor was is one of the oldest houses in Britechester, and was passed down through the generations as the world grew around it. After some renovations and a few updates to the plumbing, the most recent owner decided to rent out space to local students. As soon as For Rent was announced, I knew I wanted to challenge myself to build something that didn't fit the traditional identical unit apartment complex (don't get me wrong, I have plenty of those too) so I took inspiration from Boyfriend's neighborhood. He lives near a university, and there are a lot of old Colonial style and Victorian style mansions that have been split into multiple odd-shaped apartments and the owners overcharge and price gouge the life out of these kids for student housing. Using that as inspo (photo of one such house included below), I built a shell in Britechester, and then set out to carve various apartments into it. I wanted to put one more apartment in the attic but I couldn't pull it off. This 20x15 lot was built using all base game items only, and has 5 units. I haven't looked enough at the rental rules to see if you can set this for uni students only (though I don't think you can), so I guess I'll have to just use my imagination on that one. I don't have any real shared space here other than the entranceway and front porch, so you may never see any of your neighbors. In my head Unit 1 was originally a service pantry or something and then Units 4 and 5 were servants' quarters, back in the original life of the house.
